Yes, registration is required to attend the event. To begin the registration process sign into CareerQuest and register for the fair under the events tab.
The virtual fair is for UMGC students and alumni who are seeking new career opportunities.
Yes, this event is an opportunity to interact with recruiters in a group chat and to have your résumé considered for open and future positions.
  • Chat topics may include current open positions and company culture.
  • Recruiters will initiate one-on-one chats with the candidates of interest.
No, you do not need to download or install any software to participate. You only need to have internet access.
  • It is recommended to use a PC or laptop to participate in this event.
  • Google Chrome and Firefox browsers will give you the best user experience.
No, a webcam is not required to participate. Some employers may have the ability to request a video chat, but you do not have to be on camera.
If you choose to use your webcam, make sure to do the following:
  • Dress professionally
  • Find a quiet place free from distractions
  • Use a blank or neutral wall as a background
  • Remove distracting photos
  • Remember to smile and to sit up straight
